Colour Temperature

The term “colour temperature” is used for the light colour of white light. It is expressed in Kelvin (K).
The term warm white is used up to 3,300 K, neutral white from 3,300 K to 5,300 K, and daylight white over 5,300 K.

Module Connected Wattage

The connected wattage (P) of an LED module measured in watts (W).
This value defines the power which is consumed by an LED module.

Luminous Efficiency (lm/Watt)

The luminaire luminous efficiency is the quotient of the emitted luminous flux and the electric power consumedby the luminaire. The value is expressed in lumen per watt (lm/W).

Module Luminous Flux

The luminous flux (Φ) of an LED module measured in lumen (lm).
This value defines the luminous flux which is created by an LED module at an ambient temperature of 25 °C.

Luminare Luminous Flux

The luminous flux (Φ) of a luminaire measured in lumen (lm).
This value defines the total luminous flux which is emitted by the luminaire.

Color Rendering Index

The colour rendering index (Ra) stands for the degree of conformity between the perceived colour of an object and its appearance under a specific light source.

Voltage

The maximum electric rated voltage, measured in volts (V), at which a luminaire is allowed to be operated.Generally Standards are 8-12 VDC / 200-240 VAC

Module designation

Unlike conventional lamps, for which there are clearly defined connection standards, LED are a fixed part of luminaires. It is difficult therefore for non-specialists to obtain matching LED replacement modules. As a responsible manufacturer, we have come up with a solution to this problem for our customers. Today you will already find a lamp designation in every LED luminaire, providing exact details of the installed modules. Furthermore, our in-house production will enable us to deliver matching LED modules for many years to come.

Service Life

Most LED do not fail by a certain time but their luminous flux decreases over time (degradation). The service life of LED, LED modules and luminaires is limited accordingly by the total failure of their related electronic components (e. g. power supply units) or by the luminous flux dropping below a previously fixed minimum value.

IP x3 protection against showers up to 60°

Safety Classes

Safety class I designates luminaires with an earth connection. Under fault conditions, the power supply is cut by an overload.

Safety class II designates luminaires that, apart from functional insulation, have an additional protective insulation. Under fault conditions, no dangerous voltage can reach metal parts which can be touched. Many luminaires are available in Safety class I and also in Safety class II. Please inquire accordingly.

Safety class III designates luminaires operating on extra-low safety voltage. They can only be connected to safety transformers in accordance with EN 61558/VDE 0570, EN 61347/VDE 712 or VDE 0100 Part 410.

Impact Protection

Degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts in accordance with IEC 62262:2002 and IEC 60068-2-75:1997.

IK01 Protected against 0.14 joules impact.
Equivalent to impact of 0.25kg mass dropped from 56mm above impacted surface.
IK02 Protected against 0.2 joules impact.
Equivalent to impact of 0.25kg mass dropped from 80 mm above impacted surface.
IK03 Protected against 0.35 joules impact.
Equivalent to impact of 0.25kg mass dropped from 140 mm above impacted surface.
IK04 Protected against 0.5 joules impact.
Equivalent to impact of 0.25kg mass dropped from 200 mm above impacted surface.
IK05 Protected against 0.7 joules impact.
Equivalent to impact of 0.25kg mass dropped from 280 mm above impacted surface.
IK06 Protected against 1 joules impact.
